Rooted in Faith, Growing in Green

Updated: Mar 24

Planting greenery around our church isn’t just about enhancing beauty—it’s a vital expression of our commitment to caring for creation. As part of our Eco-Church journey, nurturing plants helps us actively steward the environment and reflect our faith through tangible actions. Plants around the church provide essential habitats for local wildlife, promoting biodiversity right on our doorstep. They improve air quality, absorb carbon dioxide, and contribute to the wellbeing of our congregation and community by creating peaceful, reflective spaces.

Our planting initiatives also support our submission for the Church’s ‘Marks of Mission’, particularly the fifth mark, which calls us to safeguard the integrity of creation. By cultivating gardens and green spaces, we visibly demonstrate our church’s dedication to sustainability and ecological responsibility.

Involving church members in planting activities fosters community spirit and educates everyone—especially younger members—on environmental care. Every seed planted is an opportunity for growth, both spiritually and environmentally, reminding us of our shared responsibility to protect God’s creation.

Join us in nurturing our church grounds, growing together in faith, and fulfilling our mission to be thoughtful caretakers of the world we’ve been entrusted to cherish.
