Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care
Caring for the local community is not confined to services in the church. Holy Trinity is a church devoted to the care of its congregation and parish. We have a team overseeing our pastoral care, but you will also find many people in our congregation who are willing to give their time and support to people in need. We have teams dedicated to visiting the housebound, praying for all in need and caring for the bereaved.
If you would like to speak to a priest, please call Revd Becky Stephens on 07712 689117, or email clergy@htsc.org.uk.
Home Visiting
People can find themselves in need of support for many reasons. It may be that you are sick and unable to leave home or that you have been at home for a long time and are afraid of leaving home again. At Holy Trinity we have a small group of visitors drawn from our regular congregation. We make home visits to those members of our congregation who have become housebound for whatever reason. We also visit people in the parish whose circumstances have been brought to our attention; maybe through illness or bereavement.
Home Communion
If you find you are no longer able to make it to church because you are housebound, then we will bring communion to your home or care home. A group of our congregation have been licensed for this purpose by The Bishop of Birmingham and they take communion to the homes of anyone who has requested it.
This usually occurs on the first Sunday of each month, immediately following our principal morning service.
If you are housebound, and would like to receive communion at home, then please contact us by calling 0121 321 1144 or emailing admin@htsc.org.uk.

Prayer
Jesus taught us to pray by offering us the words of the Lord's Prayer. There are lots of ways to pray and at Holy Trinity we offer people a range of resources for prayer.
At the entrance to church and the Trinity Centre, you will find a selection of prayer cards to use for different times of your life. They are there for everyone so please do take one if you would find it helpful.
There is an area set aside in the Vesey Chapel for private prayer. Here you can light a candle or place a prayer on the prayer tree. There is also a box where you can write a prayer request. These prayers are offered by our prayer team.
On the 4th Sunday of the month, during the 10am service, there is an opportunity to go into the Vesey Chapel with a member of the Pastoral Team where you can pray with someone. This might be for healing for your self or a loved one, or it might be something that is weighing on your mind.
We are committed to praying for our church and the parish. There is a Service of Prayer for Holy Trinity on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 2pm. All are welcome to join us as we gather to pray for the mission and ministry of Holy Trinity.
If you have a prayer request for our team, please email Margaret at prayer@htsc.org.uk.
