🌱Christian Aid Plant Swap – Growing Together for Good

We were blessed with glorious weather and even better company at today’s Christian Aid Plant Swap at Holy Trinity.

Thank you to everyone who came along, brought plants, shared gardening tips, and supported Christian Aid’s life-changing work. It was wonderful to see people of all ages gathered in the sunshine, united by a shared love of nature and a desire to make a difference.

This wasn’t just a local community event — it was an expression of our mission as a church. By taking part, we contributed directly to Christian Aid’s global efforts to fight poverty, stand up for climate justice, and support communities most affected by environmental and economic challenges. Every donation and every plant shared will help sow seeds of hope far beyond our church garden.

The event also plays an important part in our commitment to becoming an Eco Church. By encouraging sustainable gardening, biodiversity, and a deeper connection with creation, we are taking practical steps to care for the world God has entrusted to us.

At the heart of the day lies a deeper purpose — living out the Marks of Mission. Through this simple act of sharing and service, we are responding to human need with love, and standing alongside those working to protect and restore the integrity of creation.

What began as a swap of seedlings became something much more — a moment of fellowship, generosity, and hope. Let’s keep planting these values in our community, and in the wider world.
