Re-ordering: Phase 1 completed

January 2017

Phase 1 of the re-ordering of Holy Trinity Church is now pretty much complete. As always with large projects there are still some snags to be sorted out, but essentially we are there.

We have the new Vesey Entrance with modern toilet facilities and level access into the church. There is a new stone floor with underfloor heating, new chairs instead of pews, a coffee area and flexible meeting rooms under the north gallery.  Our altar is now at the front of the chancel with much better visibility and our font is in pride of place in the tower.  The Vesey Chapel is now a prayer room.

We now have a comfortable, flexible, accessible and warm church which is well on the way to fulfilling our vision for a Holy and Welcoming Space for Tomorrow.

Phase 2 of the re-ordering - opening up the tower and replacing the organ - is currently being planned.

We hope the pictures below will give you some idea of the transformation Holy Trinity has undergone. We will be adding more soon. But to appreciate its true beauty we'd urge you to come and see for yourself. You will be most welcome at any of our services.

In due course we hope to have the church open regularly for visitors and community users. And of course our 'Friends of Holy Trinity' concerts and events are held in the church building too.

We look forward to seeing you at Holy Trinity.
