Heritage Volunteer Stewards

Would you be interested in being part of our heritage project? We have recruited some volunteers already to become “heritage stewards” – but we are always looking for more!

These stewards will enable the church to be open as much as possible outside of our service times, at weekends and during office hours. The first batch of stewards have now been trained. They will be welcoming visitors and chatting with them about the church’s historical features.

In time we will encourage younger people to undertake service awards e.g. for the Duke of Edinburgh awards and FE or HE course requirements. We may also introduce family stewarding.

If you’d like to know more, why not come along on a day the church is open and chat to one of the stewards about what they do? You may find it helpful to download and read the job description below.

If you’d like to be considered for the steward role, and you are 16 or over, contact Stella Thebridge on heritage@htsc.org.uk.
