Heritage volunteer stewards

Would you be interested in being part of our heritage project?

We will be recruiting volunteers aged 16 and over to become “heritage stewards”.  This will enable the church to be open as much as possible outside of our service times, at weekends and during office hours.

Following training, stewards will undertake a range of duties associated with welcoming visitors and chatting with them about the church’s historical features.

In time we will encourage younger people to undertake service awards e.g. for the Duke of Edinburgh awards and FE or HE course requirements.  We may also introduce family stewarding.

Open day - Saturday 17th June, between 2 and 4 pm

To find out more about the volunteer steward scheme and have a look at the inside of the newly re-ordered church, please call into church on 17th June 2017 between 2 and 4 pm.

At 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm local historian Roger Lea will speak for around 10 minutes on the various special features of our historic church.
