All being well, 2018 should be a momentous year for the Friends as we head towards both our 5th anniversary of foundation in September and a £50,000 fundraising mark to be hit.
As well as the satisfaction of hosting almost 30 concerts and events since 2013, it's fantastic to think that the Friends has enabled over 5000 people to come into our church for concerts, theatrical productions, Christmas Tree Festivals and other events. As well as to present inspiring events and raise much needed funds for the building and fabric of Holy Trinity, our vision has always been to make Holy Trinity a warm and accessible space to welcome the wider Royal Sutton Coldfield community.
With phase 1 of the church's re-ordering project completed with phase 2 to come, the success of the Heritage Lottery Fund backed project, children and you activities, and Friends concerts and events bringing new people into our church, it really feels that Holy Trinity is restoring its rightful position as a vibrant beacon of light in our town and being a place where people might want to worship in the 21st century.
We're really delighted to be welcoming a great group of musicians - Fret & Fiddle - to bring Jazz to Holy Trinity on Saturday 3rd February. On the 17th March, we will host a nationally acclaimed orchestra - The British Police Symphony Orchestra. Tickets for both events are available from this very website.
Shortly, the Friends committee will be starting to review options for our 6th 2018/2019 season. As satisfying as it is to reflect on our past events, each year to becomes harder and harder to identify those captivating events that will achieve our aims. New committee members are always welcome to provide new and refreshing ideas.
We're very grateful to the team of volunteers who prepare and manage our events and we're very grateful for the generosity of our two corporate supporters - Dignity plc and CM2000 Limited - which means that the maximum possible ticket revenues go towards our funds.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
