Holy Trinity has just been awarded funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. It's exciting news - we'll be able to run a volunteer stewarding programme allowing us to keep the church open during weekdays and out of service times.
We hope lots of people from the age of 16 upwards will want to give a few hours’ time. They'll be volunteering to be part of a team which aims to enthuse others about our incredible 700-year-old Grade I listed building. We'll advertise for applications soon.
We want visitors to understand more about the many unique parts of our church, and we need to record some of these so we are clear about the history. So we'll be setting up a website of resources, trails for visitors and printed guides for all ages.
Our website will enable people to visit on-line, so whether you are reading this in Sutton Coldfield, or are much further afield, you'll be able to see the church and feel part of its history. In due course there will be a link from the main church website to the heritage pages. We'll blog from time to time to report progress on all aspects of the project.
Meanwhile there is a dedicated email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Do email if you would like information about any aspect of the project. We will also add news to the church newsletter, so make sure you have signed up to receive that.
