Music Matters

Holy Trinity choir are gearing up for the busy season, but before Christmas can begin we have a season of remembrance with both the service to commemorate those who have died in the last year (4th Nov at 5.30pm) and the big Remembrance Sunday service. This year the Sunday is 11th November itself, and the British Legion are commemorating 90 years work supporting victims of conflict and their families. Do join us along with civic and community representatives at 10.45am in church.

A special concert is being organised in aid of our charity – Birmingham Crisis Centre (www.birminghamcrisis.org.uk) on Sat 3rd November at 7.30pm in church. Sutton Coldfield Chamber Choir, who sang at the Flower festival last year, return with their conductor Gordon Thornett to bring a wide mix of serious, light and swingle pieces to enjoy, and maybe even for the audience to join in. Tickets are £5, and refreshments will be available afterwards in the Trinity Centre. Do come along for a very good evening’s entertainment and help us raise some money for our special cause.

Next time will be the low-down on what is in store in the run-up to Christmas!
