A light in our community, Trinity Lights 2012

2011 saw the start of Trinity Lights a group for adults in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. We’ve spent last year getting to know each other, socialising together and exploring our faith. This year we look outwards. We look towards Trinity Lights as a group connecting more with the Church. Some Trinity Lights members are already involved with activities at Holy Trinity, but for all sorts of reasons it can be a challenge for those in the TL demographic to commit to church activities beyond the Sunday service. Our thought - perhaps we can come together and make a difference as a group where no one of us could confidently commit ourselves as individuals.

Many Trinity Lights members attended the evening Ash Wednesday service and during Lent we have suspended our usual fellowship meeting to support our church cluster Lent study course - 40 Days of Peace. On 10th March we will be helping out at the marriage preparation day. Trinity Lights will also be hosting the lunch on this day. This is a prospect made more daunting since we experienced Colin and his crew setting the catering bar very high with the superb Big Breakfast for Malawi last Sunday. Trinity Lights looks forward to playing a part in more of the great activities and events that are ongoing at Holy Trinity throughout the year.

Of course we’re not cutting back on the fellowship and socialising in 2012. Regular meetings will resume after Easter. Look out for a dinner towards the end of April and a Picnic/BBQ towards the end of July. We hope to attract new members to the group and remain open to suggestions about other activities.
