Events
The
Social Committee organised a charity fundraiser, an Elizabethan evening
on Saturday July 10th.
Lesley Smith, the curator of Tutbury castle and adviser to TV's
"Most Haunted" appeared as Queen Elizabeth I
The
talk was followed by an Elizabethan Banquet and raised £225 for our
nominated charity for the year: the
Norman Laud Association

26th June Paul Duckers was ordained as priest at a service at Birmingham
Cathedral

We had a Bring and Share lunch to celebrate on Sunday 4th July
Trinity Fair 2010
The Fair was opened by Andrew Mitchell MP Secretary of State for
International Development.
A great day was had by all and a big success with over £3000 was
raised for our nominated charities.

The Trinity Fair held on Saturday
6th June was themed on Noah's Ark and true enough we nearly
needed it! After all the good weather of the previous weeks it decided
to break on the evening before. All said and done the event was very
successful, over 500 people braved the, at times, torrential rain and
enjoyed the day, raising over £3,000 to be divided between our
two nominated charities
Newlife foundation for disabled children
and Hamlin Fistula
UK.

- Each year we nominate a charity that we
donate to for the year. Generally any fund raising events we have, plus
half of the collection at weddings (unless the couple chooses otherwise)
the money will go to our nominated charity. This year it's the
Norman Laud Association.
- The Old Time Music Hall on Saturday 23rd January
was very popular. Sarah Cromwell opened the proceedings with several pieces
of opera, then members of the congregation took part along with a sing-a-long.
- The Harvest Supper on the Saturday 10th October
was a great success. Bangers and Mash supper was was enjoyed by everyone
who came, raising £325 for
Christian Aid Earthquake Appeal
.
- We have started
a film club. It meets on the first Monday of the month at 7.00pm (depending
on the Trinity Centre bookings) details in the service sheet along
the film.
- Services and times can be found on the

- Where possible we will again be publishing
the sermon
from the 10.00am Family Service on the website
